Overview

Ranor, Inc is a large-scale fabrication and machining supplier. Our current focus is on defense related products in support of Navy submarine components.

At Ranor, Inc., steel processing takes raw material (plate and shapes) through a variety of cutting and forming techniques to create components that are then welded and machined.

Duties include:

• Operate CNC burning bench with plasma and oxy cutting.
• Operate rolls & press brakes.

• Reading and interpretation of weld symbols, technique sheets, and work packages
• Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years technical experience
• 2 years of relevant fabrication experience
• Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs, Military Shipbuilding.

Preferred:

• Ability to read Basic blueprints and interpretation for layout, forming & company procedures
• Ability to perform and use basic math and measuring tools to perform initial layout and verification of final dimensions
• Experience in steel forming and steel cutting
• Hand/Power tool usage (grinders, sanders, hand torches, general tools)
• Lifting and Handling (Overhead Cranes, Forklifts etc.)
• CNC experience with cutting/forming equipment.
• Experience with bending steel plates, oxy propane or plasma cutting equipment and band saw cutting operations
