About the Role

JM Test Systems is looking for detail-oriented,customer-focused Mid-Senior Calibration Technicians to join our team. In thisrole, you'll perform calibrations, qualifications, and preventative maintenanceon inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in both lab andfield environments. You'll lead complex calibrations, troubleshoot issues, anddeliver high-quality service to ensure precision, safety, and compliance withindustry standards. Candidates with prior CDL and technical experience are encouragedto apply.

This is an onsite travel role based out of our BatonRouge location, with assignments at client sites across the United States.Candidates must be comfortable with 48-50 weeks of travel per year, includingovernight stays and coast-to-coast assignments.

What You'll Do
  • Perform advanced calibrations, repairs, and troubleshooting of specialized equipment
  • Lead onsite projects and provide updates to customers and management
  • Mentor junior technicians and share technical expertise
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Support process improvements and technical training programs

What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of technical experience in calibration, repair, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of test equipment and industry standards
  • High Voltage experience (120-240V) required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field
  • Experience with automated calibration systems/software (Fluke MET/TEAM or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with calibration, repair, and maintenance
  • Experience with mechanical and digital pressure measurement instruments
  • Class A CDL (nice to have, not required)

Travel Requirements
  • Unlimited travel - assignments typically run 2 to 2½ weeks at a time
  • Out-of-state, coast-to-coast travel required; Baton Rouge dispatches technicians nationwide
  • International travel possible - must be able to obtain a valid passport
  • Some assignments may require driving to a nearest site to meet up with other techs before continuing to the project location

Compliance & Site Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card and OSHA certification
  • Must pass and remain clear on DCCHT, CORP, and 10-panel drug screens
  • Must be willing to shave if a project's site safety requirements call for it (respirator fit, etc.)
  • Comfortable completing site-specific safety classes as required by clients

Schedule & Hours
  • Standard 40-hour workweek (Mon-Fri), with overtime and weekends as needed
  • Workdays can run up to 16 hours depending on the assignment
  • Overtime varies by project - some weeks may include 0.5 to 25+ hours of OT, others none at all
  • Overtime is driven by the demands of each individual job
