CNC Machinist

Overview

Meridian Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in a dynamic job shop environment. This role is ideal for a versatile machinist who enjoys working on a wide variety of parts, setups, and materials—not repetitive production work. If you have at least 5 years of experience and thrive on problem-solving, precision, and hands-on craftsmanship, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality, custom-machined components for diverse industries. Optional OT (up to 20 hours a week) and a Bonus & Incentive plan!

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full machine setups and operate CNC and manual equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders

• Work from one-off prototypes to short-run production jobs with frequent changeovers

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers

• Determine machining approach, tooling, and setup strategy for each job

• Hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality parts with strong attention to detail

• Make in-process adjustments to ensure part accuracy

• Select proper materials, tooling, and speeds/feeds for each application

• Maintain, adjust, and replace cutting tools

• Measure and verify parts using precision instruments

• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with team members

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience, preferably in a job shop environment

• Strong skills in CNC and manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders)

• Ability to perform independent setups and adjustments

• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Frequent standing, reaching, and use of hands.

Schedule

Full-time | Day shift | 8-hour shifts with optional up to 20 hours OT
