MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer II shall support the business in areas of new product development; process improvement; daily production support; manage key programs; analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and create routers, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high-quality product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Based on requirements from customer orders, plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products
  • Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible with available machines
  • Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement within budgeted cost and time
  • Participate in the Company's Corrective Action and MRB Boards
  • Analyze and resolve fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems
  • Create new or modify existing manufacturing drawings using CAD methodology
  • Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures
  • Comply with all military and contractual requirements
  • Produce comprehensive engineering technical documentation
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned

  • Passion for data, analysis, trends, reporting and technology. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write clearly and informatively routine reports, correspondence, and designs workflows and procedures. Presents numerical data effectively
  • Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement and use of Lean and Six-Sigma resources and tools
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, SolidWorks, CATIA and other applicable tools

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) from an accredited university
  • At least 2 years of relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred
