Job Description
· Perform Heliarc, MIG, and TIG welding on various thicknesses with an emphasis on sheet metals including carbon, aluminum, and stainless steel according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
· Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
· Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards.
· Perform MIG welding, TIG welding, and HELIARC welding specific welding processes as required for different projects.
· Maintain a clean work environment by following proper safety procedures related to welding fumes, fire hazards, and equipment handling.
· Follow ASME codes & standards for all welds to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Job Specification
I. Required Skills
· Previous manufacturing experience is required.
· Must have at least 6-10 years of working experience in Heliarc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding with an emphasis on sheet metal.
· Must be able to pass a skills assessment in all welding types.
· Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work.
· Ability to work in a diverse workforce.
· Ability to establish and maintain courtesy, dignity, trust, and respect of your
supervisor and all coworkers.
· Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone and on two-way
radio.
· Ability to work in a team environment to meet productivity goals.
Physical Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment screening
- Ability to wear all required PPE for the position
- Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8–10 hour shift
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors in year-round weather, including rain
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. routinely and up to 75 lbs. occasionally while utilizing all proper lifting procedures and practices
- Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
