Immediate Opening: Laser Marking Machine Operator (Entry-Level)

Cambridge Security Seals has multiple immediate openings for the position of entry-level Laser Marking Machine Operator. The primary focus of this position will be to develop the technical skills to operate laser marking machinery and other automated production equipment. This is a full-time hourly position at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pomona, NY.

Some experience is certainly advantageous, but not essential, as our in-house training will provide all the tools necessary for the right candidate to achieve success. Laser Marking Machine Operator (Entry Level) Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Set-up and operation of Off-Line Laser Marking Station.
  • Program loading and quality controls and verification via visual and dimensional inspection.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement of both process and quality.
  • Cross-training on injection molding machines and automated assembly and production lines.
  • Production documentation, including accurate part count and scrap reporting.
  • Packaging finished product (manually and automated).
  • Quality inspections and documentation.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Assisting the Shift Supervisor with any or all duties required or assigned to maintain production.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting by reporting and effectively communicating quality, automation, or other production issues.
  • Ensuring the accurate and complete inspections of material and part conformance and product specifications.
  • Developing machine programming and processing skills to position for advancement.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A high school diploma with an interest in manufacturing.
  • A performance-driven, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude/demeanor.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A strong mechanical/technical aptitude or background with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Must be able to work in a production environment, and regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be reliable and on time.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination is strongly encouraged.

This is a manufacturing facility-based position in Rockland County. You must presently live in or have a reasonable daily commute to the Rockland County area. In addition, you must pass initial and random drug testing.
