Position Summary
The HR Representative will assist in delivering HR support to employees and leaders by acting as a trusted advisor, employee advocate and functional expert reflective of the HR Department goals and responsibilities. This position will assist with policy administration, labor relations, regulatory and legal compliance and other HR related duties as assigned in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Domestic travel may be required.

Essential Functions
- Educate and assist managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools (e.g., compensation, development, CBA, EEO) to ensure knowledge transfer and enhanced organizational capability related to the management and development of people
- Communicate with all management/supervisor levels, union personnel, contractors, and on-site customer personnel; being open-minded and able to listen to the concerns of Human Resources customers
- Routinely audit company employee files and employment law postings for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and applicable federal and state laws
- Assist in resolution of employment issues, labor law and employment law compliance related investigations
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills
- Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government laws
- Must have excellent follow-up skills with a client service mentality and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hands-on, high volume, fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to research and analyze various different types of data information
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 2 Years of related experience required; Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
