Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work orders are completed with a high degree of craftsmanship and workmanship in a timely manner and documented in the CMMS system.
  • As the lead shift technician working production schedules, you'll need to be a strong independent troubleshooter and you're skilled at figuring out root causes of equipment issues.
  • Become a valued team member that helps lead the FPM Division towards a lean manufacturing culture with the proper application of technology
  • Monitor recurring issues where new PM's or changes to existing PM's could be practical, Creation of corrective or reactive work orders, Creation of PM's, And actively prioritize work orders and other work based on plant needs.
  • Coordinates and communicates with supervisors to escalate issues if needed
  • Conduct walk-throughs on regular intervals to ensure a strong preventative mindset when it comes to our maintenance approach.
  • Working knowledge of available technical resources dealing in Nonwovens fabrics and or related fields, winding, slitting, calendaring, extrusion, web transport, etc.
  • Work alongside daytime mechanics M-F in addition to shift duties to perform various daytime tasks (i.e. calendar changes, line shutdown work, etc)


Qualifications:

  • Two-year associates preferred in industrial technology or equivalent/similar field preferred
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a production operation with emphasis on "hands-on" maintenance work
  • Basic Software Use (SAP System, CMMS, MS Suite, etc)
  • Ability to coordinate with people in cross functional areas, and adapt to rapid change
  • Working knowledge of available technical resources dealing in Nonwovens fabrics and or related fields
  • Team-oriented and responsive to customer needs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
