SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama to provide onsite support to the THAAD Trainers Team to create, edit and maintain technical documentation under the guidance of the subject matter experts.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Create, self-edit and format technical documentations for THAAD Trainers Team.
- Coordinate peer reviews of draft documentation. Address comments and incorporate redlines from peer reviews utilizing the THAAD Trainer Program process.
- Collaborate with engineers, developers and other subject matter experts to collect accurate technical information.
- Ensure all content aligns with established terminology, templates defined by Army regulations.
- Review and update existing documentation to keep it accurate, clear and consistent.
- Track revisions, maintain traceability of review comments and prepare documents for delivery to stakeholders.
- Prepare minutes, action items and other documentation logistics for team meetings.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCAITON AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and three (3)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in editing and writing technical documents.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Notes, etc.)
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret required prior to hire, SAIC will help to obtain.
