NSC Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to conduct inspections, verify compliance, and support quality assurance processes within ship repair and industrial environments. This role requires strong attention to detail, experience with checkpoint inspections, and certification in applicable coating/inspection standards.

Position Overview
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will perform in?process, final, and compliance inspections to ensure all work meets contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements. You will generate and maintain documentation, collaborate with project teams, support vessel?specific inspection plans, and provide inspection support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality assurance checks, in?process inspections, and final product inspections.
  • Perform compliance audits and assessments prior to customer inspections.
  • Generate, maintain, and audit inspection documentation including callouts, sign?off sheets, test procedures, and OQE.
  • Consult with project teams, production leads, and customers during inspections as required.
  • Implement and maintain vessel?specific inspection plans and contract requirements.
  • Support Quality Management System audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Comply with all Quality Management reporting requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and quality operations.


Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
  • NACE Level 1 and/or NBPI certification required
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA 009?32 Standard Item and QMS 009?04
  • Experience conducting checkpoints with prime contractors and government agencies
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of applicable standards
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with inspection tools, basic hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DBIDS or other required facility access clearances

    • Monday-Friday
    • Weekends as required
    • Overtime as needed
