Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia

Shift: 1st

Starting Compensation Range: $30.45 - $38.28 per hour

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing the highest level of service and maintenance to assigned facilities to keep utilities and equipment in optimum operating condition.

Requirements for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position include:

  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
  • Requires good communication skills. Must be able to positively interact with supervisor and understand problems and concerns relating to a repair
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work additional hours to meet demands
  • Must be able to occasionally operate heavy machinery in a safe manner

Seeking Candidates with:

  • Minimum four years related experience, required
  • Professional electrician's license and HVAC trade certification, a plus
  • High school diploma or GED, required


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently sit for extended periods of time
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
