• Manage leadtime, purchases, pulls in and rescheduling of shipments based on customer's forecast and project requirements.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase goods for AMAXm following established policies and procedures
• Providing appropriate input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
• Participating, reviwing, negotiating and monitoring the suppliers contracts
• Conducts various phases of formal cost reduction programs. Investigates all aspects; consult with others concerned or potentially affected; develop recommendations for actions; and follow through as appropriate.
• Pursues projects and solves problems of very broad and significant importance, scope, and/or complexity involving activities such as: identifying the problem, designing the approach, gathering data, arriving at conclusions, recommending action, implementing the action, following up on procedures, and administering control and reporting phases.
• Undertakes and executes studies and projects related to new products or processes; product modifications, modernization of existing processes, etc.; makes appropriate studies and consultations; analyzes and evaluates findings; contributes own constructive ideas; investigates new processing equipment possibilities; evaluates economic aspects of the project; develops recommendations accordingly. On approved projects, participates in operations planning and layout, and follows through during installation.
• Conducts or participates in statistical process studies to determine the extent and cause of process variation. Establishes the need for process control and identifies appropriate manual, statistical, or computer-assisted methods for control. Monitors process performance for continued adequacy.
• Develop estimated costs to manufacture special items requested by Marketing or customers. Determine the method of fabrication for special orders. Develop estimated costs and processing sheets for special production orders. Update specials program and other duties as required.
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Well-developed computer skills including MSOffice
• Team player with proven execution in all phases of projects
• Excellent communication skills
• 3+ years in manufacturing a plus
• Six Sigma and/or Lean experience is desirable but not required. However, the desire to acquire these skills are a must.
