Job description
Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft components using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards. This job reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years minimum experience within the quality environment.
Computer Skill: Familiar with Windows Operating System®.
Other Skills:
o Qualified candidate must possess ability to use precision measuring instruments. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred.
o Full knowledge and skill set with QA measurement tools
o Knowledge in operating Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines (PCMM) such as Laser Trackers and Articulate Arms
o Understanding of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
o Knows and understands Geometry
o Catia / Enovia Literate and/or 3D Softwares
o Knowledgeable in basic and advanced 3D Inspection Softwares
o Knowledge of reading / interpreting engineering notes in 3D MBD set
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
o Can work independently with minimal supervision
Candidate skills & requirements
• Performs inspections of:
o FAI (first article inspection) of newly designed or revised products.
o Incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and manufacturing order.
o In-process inspection of parts being manufactured.
o Sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircrafts.
o Final products prior to shipment.
o Equipment used to manufacture and inspect aircraft components.
• Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.
• Assures an optimal level of manufactured components on the manufacturing floor conform to engineering drawings and / or specifications.
• Inspects and records information on test models, production models or new parts
• Perform first article sample part inspections and report findings.
• Monitors approved processes and procedures used to assure product Quality
• Gathers inspection data
• Supports operations and engineering personnel with quickly resolving quality related issues.
• General Notes:

o As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.
