Job Summary

Sidus Space is looking for a dynamic leader to join our Quality Assurance team with a proven track record of leading change, inspiring others, and challenging the status quo. In this role, you will be driving improvements to our QMS and across the enterprise to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries and zero defects. The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to transform the work we do, continuously growing and developing our teams, and integrating cross-functionally to produce optimal outcomes for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop functional excellence for Quality across the Sidus Space enterprise.
  • Work with other management partners across organizational and functional boundaries to execute business / program work scope, drive improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate areas of risk, and proactively work to increase first time quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
  • Provide education and coaching while leading change and improvement.
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
  • Champion key initiatives and concepts such as: Safety, Risk Management, analytics-based decision making, and structured problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate and promote Sidus Space values.


Required Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace.
  • 3+ years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS).
  • 1+ year of experience leading or building teams
  • Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams


Desired Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality.
  • 3+ years of experience reading manufacturing drawings and understanding GD&T requirements.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • 3+ years of experience team building, developing and motivating employees.
  • Experience with manufacturing assembly processes.
  • Experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous Improvement practices and tools.


Required / Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or relevant work experience.
  • ISO9001/AS9100 QMS experience required
  • Satisfactory completion of AS9100:2016 Internal Auditor Training (REV D) from a source certified by Probitas Authentication, preferred


Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, only sometimes required to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Computer Work - daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.


Travel Requirement

Able to travel <10% of the time
