As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a vital role in driving productivity by operating a variety of CNC machines and producing high-quality precision components. As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a vital role in driving productivity by operating a variety of CNC machines and producing high-quality precision components. Working under moderate supervision, you'll apply your expertise in CNC machining, machining methods, tooling concepts, and manufacturing processes to support critical projects across the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Utilize personal knowledge of tooling to properly and efficiently machine company product.
- Ability to visualize setups and transfer that knowledge onto paper as instructions for the operators to set-up the machine accurately.
- Operate machinery
- Optimize tooling packages and tool selection
- Work on cycle time reduction/set up time reduction
- Ad-Hoc Problem Solving
- Tooling, fixture, machine ad-hoc problem solving
- Set up machine
- Read and edit G and M code as needed
The ideal candidate will require:
- Min high school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate Program with a minimum of 6 years' CNC Programming experience
- Ability to read and edit machine programming language
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Able to set up and run a machine
- Problem solving skills
- Sigma/Lean a plus
- Experience with HAAS Machines
- Ability to operate manual machinery (Bridgeport, Lathe)
- Ability to implement manufacturing processes
- Ability to perform in process quality inspection on parts
- US Citizenship required
