In this role you will play a critical role in ensuring we will meet our ambitious investment objectives in our Life Science business unit. You will support CapEx project teams with the preparation and execution of large, strategic investment projects. You will provide support from initiation to closure as subject matter expertise in electrical engineering. This position is located at the Spruce Street location.

Pay Range for this position: $92,900 - $139,400 / year
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Your Role:
In this role you will play a critical role in ensuring we will meet our ambitious investment objectives in our Life Science business unit. You will support CapEx project teams with the preparation and execution of large, strategic investment projects. You will provide support from initiation to closure as subject matter expertise in electrical engineering. This position is located at the Spruce Street location.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee electrical safety, grounding, bonding, and arc flash studies, ensuring all systems meet regulatory standards within manufacturing and specialized laboratory environments.
- Interpret, review, and comment on technical drawings, electrical single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications for transformers, motors, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and generators.
- Guide projects from concept to closeout through key execution phases (FEL/FEED, URS, design, engineering, and regulatory permitting).
- Develop and track project schedules, manage change control and risk mitigation, and maintain precise documentation compliance for all capital projects.
- Author Requests for Proposals (RFPs), generate purchase orders, and rigorously track project budgets, committed spend, and actual vs. budgeted expenditures.
- Lead, coordinate, and manage external engineering firms, contractors, and suppliers across multiple concurrent projects to ensure safe, on-time delivery per specifications.
- Act as the central point of communication across all organizational levels, facilitating meetings and maintaining transparency on project scope, budget, and risks to ensure team alignment.
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to assist in the timely startup and commissioning of electrical scope; must be willing to travel up to 30%.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience in chemical, food or pharmaceutical industry in Capital projects execution with responsibilities in projects design, engineering, equipment, execution, contractor management and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- PMP certification.
- Knowledge of formal project management processes and tools, executing utilizing these tools to initiate, manage and close complex projects in a matrix environment.
- Strong in relationship building and negotiation strategies, ability to influence, network, drive and manage change.
- Evaluate problems and opportunities and develop solutions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suit, proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, and document management system.
