Material Planner Location: Farmington, CT
The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production plan.
- Order all Serial Production parts from vendors/suppliers in correct QTY and to correct time to meet production demand.
- Works with suppliers to expedite or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements and to meet production and inventory objectives.
- Communicates near-term and mid-range demand forecasts with suppliers to ensure material availability
- Identifies and escalates issues that may impact production or customer delivery timelines
