Senior Buyer - Manufacturing
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Buyer to support purchasing and supplier management activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing direct and indirect materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating cost-effective terms, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support production and customer requirements.

This role is responsible for sourcing direct and indirect materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating cost-effective terms, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, materials, and services to support production schedules and business needs.
- Review material requirements, issue purchase orders, track open orders, and expedite deliveries as needed.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, freight, minimum order quantities, and other commercial terms.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost, and service.
- Identify material shortages, supply risks, cost concerns, and supplier issues before they impact operations.
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve purchasing and supplier-related issues.
- Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance, inventory levels, and cost trends to support continuous improvement and cost-savings initiatives.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of purchasing, procurement, materials management, or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and influence internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
- Bachelor's degree, supplier performance management experience, Lean/continuous improvement experience, or regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.
