Job Overview

The Planner/Scheduler II is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity. This role involves creating meticulous schedules, analyzing data for informed decision-making, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of operational plans.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
  • Developing and managing detailed operational schedules to meet production, service, or project deadlines
  • Collaborating with various departments to gather input and create efficient plans that align with business goals
  • Analyze data, including production metrics, resource availability, and demand forecasts, to inform scheduling decisions
  • Identifying potential bottlenecks or risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
  • Optimizing resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency
  • Continuously monitoring and adjusting schedules as necessary to adapt to changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances
  • Communicating schedules and plans effectively across teams to ensure alignment and understanding of objectives
  • Evaluating and improving scheduling processes to enhance overall operational effectiveness


What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 1-3 years of experience (required)
  • Proven experience in operations planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a dynamic environment (required)
  • Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software, ERP systems, or other relevant tools for planning and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and convey scheduling information clearly
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving operational environment
